Dr Jules's '67 912From: Jules Medina 12/10; It's great to finaly be part of the team. Here is a photo of my 912 as I found it (minus the stripes). Yes! I found it abandoned on the side of a country road. The owner had passed away and the land owner was tired of seeing it on his property, so he pushed it out onto the road.  I saw it and a tear came to my eyes, how could someone be so cruel to this little 67 porsche? A rope, some air in the tires, and it was mine. Sadly the body was rusted beyond repair, but the power train, interior and lots of parts were original and had lots of promise. I salvaged a tub from Parts Heaven and am in the process of restoring 912 # 461898, with the donor parts from 912# 458789, R.I.P. I will send photos of the process soon. Thank all of you 912 owners for keeping the faith. Dr.Jules

From: Amie and Ran 12/9; Your website is awesome and I have learned much from it. Ran Hanks

From: Tillmann Cordes 11/30; Hi, a complete review of the restoration of my '68 912: http://projekt912.cordes-netzwerk.de/ (in german but with hundreds of pictures). Have fun... Tillmann Cordes,  Freiburg, Germany

From: Charlie Cheatham  1968 912  I have entered my car in an antique/classic car show and won first place in my division. I am going to attempt to send you a picture of my car. Since this picture was made I have replaced the front driver side turn signal lens.  I would love to attend the meet in Jacksonville, FL but I have too many irons in the fire at this time. Charlie Cheatham Wilmington, NC

From: Petursson, Einar  Nov 6; '67 912; The car is all apart, so it is being a little shy in having its picture taken - until it becomes a little more presentable.  This particular 912 was stripped of its engine and sent out into the woods to live out the rest of its natural life, which we all know is not very long given the weather here on the east coast. It was doomed to a slow death, so I just had to save it. I have stripped the car to its shell and am repairing all those little holes and bad metal - RUST. There is much to be done, but overall it is still a solid car. The metal work should be completed soon. I will be needing an engine and have been searching for one. It looks like this car had been worked on before. The floor has been replaced and the numbers on the doors do not match the VIN #. Fenders do not have any numbers in the buckets, nor have I found any numbers on the hood or engine lid. I have a 1968 911T and a 1962 356B as well. Both cars have numbers that match - for fenders doors, hood and engine lid. No matter, I still like the 912. As a matter of fact I really like the early cars - 1965 to 1973 along with the 356's. I will send in updates as things progress. Einar

From: Don Melcher/Saralynn Nusbaum Oct 28; Tangarine '69 912, Oakland, CA; Car is 1 owner (know the owner) SF Bay Area native... Straight body. Never wrecked. Needs minor interior work (dash, map pockets - maybe head liner), some rubber trim, engine cleaning and paint. A gem in the rough for restoration - all original - all there - no rust - never modified or changed in any way since new. A stable mate for our 69 HW Targa - VIN 0382 - (they're addicting)

Aalst's66 912From: Frans van Aalst  Oct. 16, 2002; '66 912, Zuidland, the Netherlands; After many hours of working on the car's Engine, restoring interior, battery holder, and wiring use the 912 every day. (This is fun to drive) better than all the modern cars

Maaskant & RijkFrom: Bas de Rijk  Oct 9, 2002; Hello there, We in Europe enjoy the 912 registry site very much and spend hours surfing this site about the cars we love so much.   These are pictures of Sander Maaskant and Bas de Rijk on a tour with our two 912's in the French Alpes. The pictures are taken at the Alpe d'Huez, a mountain well known from bicycle racing but also perfect for pure motoring fun with the classic Porsches.   I hope you can display the pictures.   Kind regards,   Bas de Rijk The Netherlands Europe

Hennen's '67 912From: Ian Hennen  Oct 7; Dear 912 Registry, I have just registered my 1966 912 ['67 model year] and would like to forward you a recent picture of her. Originally sent to California until 1998 where she was shipped to Finland and was partly restored in the interior. I bought her in March 2002 and had her shipped to the UK. I live in Fife, Scotland ( Close To St Andrews ) and am going to have her re-sprayed over the winter. I would love to hear from other 912 owners and possibly meet up with some in Europe as I can get the new ferry from Rosyth to Rebrugger in Belgium. Best regards and I look forward in hearing from any 912 owners. Ian Hennen

To my surprise, my father has decided to buy the car from us in order to keep it in the family. This is a solid, well maintained targa in excellent condition. After searching for 6 months, I purchased this car off a 912registry.org ad. I had the entire engine rebuilt 5 months ago using the finest parts available ($6500.00 & engine still under warranty) This car runs and drives beautifully, EVERYTHING works, 5 gauge dash, great red original interior. New stereo w/underdash spks (didn't compromise dash). Thanks again, Vince Plunkett, Long Beach, California

Kingston, NY; I just bought the car this week. I am the 2nd owner. This is my 3rd Porsche. My first was many years ago and was a '67 912 with an electric sunroof and 5 sp. My second was a peru red '73 911 targa. I am really excited about this car. right now it's in the shop having all the fluids changed and just generally being checked out, because the previous owner hadn't driven it much for a numer of years. Thanks for this great site!

From: Brandon Haller  Aug 05, 2002; '66 912 coupe, Bahama Yellow, VA USA; My "Bahama Mama" was purchased in June '02 from the SF Bay Area off of an advertisement on the 912 Registry. She's got a 5 speed box, dual webers, and 1720 big bore. Interior, including dash, 'updated' by PO in tan Connelly leather. Very nicely done, but not original. Other PO changes: painted dash, wood trim and later gauges, window cranks, and exterior handles. One of the PO's also added those funny '68 side reflectors.
