Would you like to join in the hunt to
account for all 912s? Aric Gless and Barwaut Verhoeven have
done fantastic work for the 912 community. Aric and Barwaut are
finding 912s from multiple sources, including smog testing records,
for sales information such as eBay, even dismantling yards. For
example, Aric has accounted over 1200 912Es so far. And Barwaut has
automated the process for realtime updates. 912registry.org has
always logged in 912s when owners join on their own. This is why
the owners' names appear. After 13 years, this amounts to about
3000 owners from all years. Of this total, about 500 cars are
912Es, while Aric has found 1200 on his own! At the 912 Registry we
regularly receive inquiries from people looking for their old car or
the history of their current car. So the search also includes
previous owners, and opportunities for past and present owners to
communicate. What would also be fantastic is if 912 fans who are
especially interested in a specialized 912 information join in the
hunt. For example a particular year ('65, '66, '67, '68, '69, '76)
or style (sunroof coupe, soft window Targa, race car, etc.) or
special order (custom colors, accessories, etc. ). Who's
interested in volunteering to search and
add to the database?
