November 28, 2009 - Hello All - On Saturday, November 28th, Glenda, Iris & I would like to invite everyone over for a bagel breakfast at our house in Granada Hills, California. Here is what I am thinking: 8AM to 10AM = Arrival + Bagel & Donut Breakfast 10AM to 11AM = Walking tour of my Neighborhood 11AM - Onward = 912 Mountain Road Drive As it happens I live in a special house - it was built by revolutionary developer Joseph Eichler in 1964, who is broadly credited with epitomizing the California Modern style of mid-century architecture.  There are about 90 of his houses in the enclave that includes my home - and it should be especially fun to view them all set amidst a parked fleet of mid-century Porsches - bring your camera for sure!  To learn a little more about Eichler, and see a preview of my house, visit here: Danek / Eichler House Afterward, we can all get in our cars and take a drive through the nearby mountains - lately I have been discovering some truly Porsche-worthy roads in my own backyard - by the time the 28th comes around, I will have route planned with a detailed map. Everyone is welcome - just give me a head's up if you are coming so we can know how much coffee to buy. Hope to see you all soon!  Charles Danek   click for more details

December 6, 2009 -  Motor4Toys car show, which, as the name suggests, is an event that combines passion for automobiles with a Christmas toy drive.  I have attended this show for the past three years with fellow 912er Carol LeFlufy, and it is a lot of fun - every year there is a huge turnout of the most eclectic mix collector cars you are ever likely to see gathered in one place - and this year I invite all of you to join as well.  You can get details here: http://www.motor4toys.com/   Charles Danek

April 17, 2010 - Dear all, Rick and I have organised a rolling road day for the Porsche Club Great Britian 912 Register. The event will take place at Paramount Performance in Slough on Saturday 17th April 2010. If you are a member of PCGB then the event will be free of charge. It does only cost £62 to join and the normal fee for the rolling road would be £45 so in effect you're getting a year's membership for £17. For this you'll recieve the monthly magazine, and we are organising many events for 912s only. Non-PCGB members are still welcome, but you'll have to pay the cover charge. For the rolling road day, we can accommodate 20 cars and are expecting a couple of 912s from the Porsche Club France. Paramount Performance have donated a prize for the 912 with the highest bhp. In addition to being reported in Porsche Post, we have 2 journalists attending on the day from well known classic car magazines (details to follow). Each car will get a couple of runs on the rolling road and will have a graph supplied for you to keep. The rolling road is designed to show how our cars are performing. The graph will display power and torque characteristics across the rev range. Besides being interesting to view and compare, the results can be used for tuning and maintaining our cars. After the rolling road event, there will be a photo-shoot with a professional photographer. This will be followed by a scenic drive (approx 1 hour) to a pub/restaurant with good secure parking, where we hope you will join us for a few non-alcoholic beverages and something to eat as we recap on a great day. In order to reserve your place, please can you email paul.sutters@ubs.com with details of your car year and registration. Many thanks Paul Sutters & Rick Horvath
