Every Saturday - Cars and Coffee , 9:00A - 12:00P - Represent and meet up with 912 owners at one of many locations, including Irvine, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Omaha, Tallahassee, Honolulu, Columbus, Charlotte, Boston, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and Austria! NorCal912 Monthly Breakfast - 8:30 AM on the 3rd Saturday of every month at Mimi's Cafe in San Mateo unless we post information to the contrary in the Northern California section of 912bbs.org (e.g. if there is a conflict with another event that would be of interest to the Porsche 912 community). Click for location map Our hope is that at least some of those attending will volunteer to coordinate post-breakfast events such as short to mid-length driving tours, tech sessions, visits to local car collections and/or other areas of interest. In any case, this is a rain or shine event. If the weather looks threatening and you prefer not to drive your 912, then feel free to bring your "other" car. In fact, feel free to bring your "other" car anytime! The main thing is to bring yourself! Contact: Michael Hodos at mehodos@mac.com or 650.326.6121. Pacific Northwest Breakfast / McMinnville Obsolete Porsche Breakfast - THE PLACE: Jake's Deli & Resturant 1208 S. Baker St McMinnville THE TIME: 8:30 AM THE DATE: Usually the first Saturday of the month, check with Ed at 503-569-4374 to be sure April 17, 2010 - Dear all, Rick and I have organised a rolling road day for the Porsche Club Great Britian 912 Register. The event will take place at Paramount Performance in Slough on Saturday 17th April 2010. If you are a member of PCGB then the event will be free of charge. It does only cost £62 to join and the normal fee for the rolling road would be £45 so in effect you're getting a year's membership for £17. For this you'll recieve the monthly magazine, and we are organising many events for 912s only. Non-PCGB members are still welcome, but you'll have to pay the cover charge. For the rolling road day, we can accommodate 20 cars and are expecting a couple of 912s from the Porsche Club France. Paramount Performance have donated a prize for the 912 with the highest bhp. In addition to being reported in Porsche Post, we have 2 journalists attending on the day from well known classic car magazines (details to follow). Each car will get a couple of runs on the rolling road and will have a graph supplied for you to keep. The rolling road is designed to show how our cars are performing. The graph will display power and torque characteristics across the rev range. Besides being interesting to view and compare, the results can be used for tuning and maintaining our cars. After the rolling road event, there will be a photo-shoot with a professional photographer. This will be followed by a scenic drive (approx 1 hour) to a pub/restaurant with good secure parking, where we hope you will join us for a few non-alcoholic beverages and something to eat as we recap on a great day. In order to reserve your place, please can you email paul.sutters@ubs.com with details of your car year and registration. The 2010 Rendezvous event will be held in the Sonoma, Napa and Marin County wine and coastal areas of Northern California about one-hour north of San Francisco. We will be taking advantage of all the fantastic roads, beautiful wine country and dinning pleasures that this world traveled area has to offer. The August 5-8, 2010 dates will provide excellent weather for our driving adventures, wine country tours, fender fondling, tire kicking and just plain hanging out and enjoying each others company. We have planned a great time with a couple of special events to encourage all of us 912 Registry members to kick the tires and light the fires on our fantastic cars and head to Northern California to make this event a happening. We have made arrangements with the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park, Calif. for a block of rooms at a special rate for our 2010 Rendezvous.
