Greg Greer North Carolina USA This is a Porsche 912 that my dad and I purchased in Marion, NC in June of 1989. We brought it back to our home in Boone, NC, where it has resided ever since then. It is only driven in the spring, summer, and fall months. Through the years, we have managed to learn a lot about our specific 912. We tend to almost all its maintenance and upkeep ourselves. We absolutely love the 912. It has been a great experience.  Still original color, used for touring; Interests: Events, Touring, Technical, Restoration, Show; Technical Committee

C-K   56 ML 912 Registry Member Level!Andrew Doak Missouri USA Purchased 1/04. Red, 4-spd, matching numbers, in need of TLC. I’ve installed a short-shift kit, pedal cluster re-build, new K&N filters, new sheet metal screw set, new oil sump gasket and screw set, new oil drain plug, original Blaupunkt radio, all lights now working, both front seats re-upholstered, etc. I’ve been documenting my progress at http://www.66912.com which includes images, stories, links, and general ramblings about my obsession with Porsche’s.. I have a good deal of work left to do, and a larger financial investment to make, but every hour and every dollar is worth the effort. The driving experience, the smell, the way the road responds to my car is outstanding. Thanks to places like 912 Registry and the PCA, my work and appreciation for my vehicle keep growing. C-P 6607 x00 ML 912 Registry Member Level!Bob Ashlock California USA Bob Ashlock's '65 912 in California, USAnow restoring, I recently [2007] purchased this car as a 90% complete amateur restoration. What has been done appears to have been done very well (paint, interior, engine) but there is a lot of detail work remaining and it is fun an exciting to dig into it! Sold/registered as a ’66 model.  The original color was 6607 – Sand Beige.  The previous owner applied a high quality silver & clear-coat paint job and refinished the interior in a custom theme, not period-correct but with very good workmanship.  I tell people this car is more a “resurrection” than a restoration.  It has a non-matching ’67 engine and was only partially assembled, sitting in the P.O.’s garage for many years because of lost interest.  When I bought it, many parts were missing and the car could not be driven due to locked brakes.  I have spent several months chasing-down missing parts and fixing things.  Thanks to much great advice provided by members of the 912 BBS, I was able to recently put the car back on the road.  There is still much to be done on this car and I enjoy working on it.  Back in the early 70’s I owned a gulf-blue 66 911, so working on this 912 almost 40 years later is a lot of fun… a kind of ‘time-warp’ back to those old days! Interests: Technical, Restoration, Show,  Technical Committee
