In 2003 I thought it’d be nice to have it running again. I had it towed out of the garage and started the restoration process. It is now Feb. 2007 and it’s finally done…correctly! Along the way I have spent four times the amount I had originally budged. The body, paint and interior restoration were done exceptionally well. The problem was the mechanical/motor. To save some money, I had taken it to a mechanic to work on it part time…whenever he had time. Not only did it take him 2 years to rebuild the motor. He had to rebuild the motor from the ground up 2 times, never run right and it only lasted for 2,000 miles. After that I took it to a reputable shop and they started from the ground up again and had every part replaced. It is now running great and I’m getting WOW comments everywhere I drive it.
