Dennis
Fay |
California | USA | Still original color, daily driver; I am the second owner of this car; the original owner died in Los Angeles in November, 2005. This car's story is like a modern day "found in the barn" story except this car sat unused in a garage in Beverly Hills for about nine years. It is very original and in very good shape. The owner kept very complete records. Interests: Events, Touring, Technical, Restoration, Show |

Bruce L. Herrington |
California | USA | Third owner, believe the car is totally stock. At well over 300K miles, my 912 engine got so thermally in-efficient that I built a Porsche-Abarth-Carrera style air scoop for the engine lid. It really made a noticeable improvement in engine temperature out here in the desert. Unfortunately, I never quite managed to either manufacture kits for sale or get the specs posted. I guess I really should do that before the next summer comes. The real answer to the problem is an engine rebuild, and I had everything out and re-worked by Competition Engineering, but never got it re-assembled, something else to do before next summer, or more particularly before the next NFIBMT. Riverside Region has a number of members who are regular on the Iron Bottom, and I've promised to do it 'next year' for half a decade now. |

Lee Olsen |
California | USA | I bet this 912 holds the worlds record for the most chrome engine parts! |
| C-K | 6802 | 48 ML | Dan Werner | California | USA | I've owned the car (Polo red, 5 spd w/ completely polished alloys) for approximately 12 years & have driven it less than 100 miles; in the process of getting it on the road again after being in storage. When stored, the carburetors were new (Webers.) After sitting for so long (improper storage techniques), the carburetors were so gummed-up that they had to be rebuilt. Now, I have a slight hesitation when starting out and it's popping in the exhaust at idle. I'm at my whit's end trying to figure out what's wrong! Any comments would be greatly appreciated. dan@netmeister.net |

| C-P | 68-6809-H | 90 ML | Steve McManus | Kentucky | USA | It has been sitting for eons. I just pulled the engine to find most parts as new except for the mouse nest in No. 3 cylinder. It has the Solex 40's and 86mm jugs. Where can I find just one 86mm jug? I suppose I'll have to get a set of 'em; standard rust in the floor pans and front pan is there; rest of the metal is in reasonable good shape. Thanks for the fine web site. Steve |
| C-P-s | 6808-H | 59 ML | Greg Thompson | Oregon | USA | '69 model year; foglamps also has factory optional wheels. -Has no rust. just had the orig. engine completely overhauled @ motorsports international. i'm very fortunate to have purchased an orig. 912. |

| C-K | 62163-L | 90 ML | Anthony Jackson | Arizona | USA | Now Green, Daily Driver. Ava was originally Bush/Leaf green. She has been repainted to a green color but I am trying to figure out if that is the original color or not. She was restored to her original condition by a submarine commander. She is WONDERFUL! She has 90000 original miles and is in great shape. Interests-Events, Touring, Technical, Restoration, Show |

Jeff Sloane |
California | USA | Car resprayed a year ago from the original Bahama Yellow (could you blame anyone?) to Porsche Polar Silver. This website pushed me over the edge to buy a 912 after contemplating 914's & older 911's to replace my long gone 356. The 912 has the right spirit! |
