Car is now red.

C-P 62109 31 M Justin Cepelak California USA Found this one out in the desert. History is vague, but I'm getting to know the car through various minor restorations I'm working on. Now white [originally dark green metallic], I don't know yet if I'm going to own the 912 long enough to paint it back to original. If I did keep it for a while, I would do that eventually as I love the idea of it in metallic green, and the current white paint is getting chippy. I think it was a special order, because it also has a brown (saddle color) interior with tan carpet. Some of the stuff is not original anymore, of course, but I'm trying to remedy some of that. I have gotten tons of help from the BBS already, and it is an amazing resource.  So far I have:   - stripped the black paint off the rear decklid grill and letters - found an ebonite steering wheel from 68 to replace the tiny awful Dino wheel the PO put in there. Still having trouble with the horn though. - had the carbs cleaned and tuned, timing belt changed (wrong one was on there) - replaced the tie rods and ball joints - found fog lamp bumper covers to cover those gaping holes - found a replacement seat to match that has plenty of stuffing unlike the existing ones - added head restraints (for safety purposes); will be recovering them in matching vinyl as they are currently black - adding 3 point seat belts for safety purposes   I still need to:   - fix the speedometer and odometer - replace shifter bushings and maybe rebuild tranny - replace aluminum dash plate as PO painted it tan (to match the interior I guess? bleh)   That's about it. I may be a short term owner since we are starting a family and this is not a family car. It's my dream car and I wanted to live the dream for a year before getting my practical dream car daily drivercar - the Nissan Leaf; Interests: events, touring

Had a '67 engine (which I have had overhauled). It had been repainted some time ago but not restored so its showing the typical dings, lower fender bubbles, etc. Interior is really pretty nice. Came with original title, Porsche documents, tool kit.  Interests: Events, Touring, Technical, Restoration, Show
C-P 6802 109 M Adam Connelly California USA I picked this car up in Stockton, CA August 15, 2010. It had been owned and driven in the SF Bay Area by the original owner, who sold it to her brother some years later. He drove it until 2007, when he parked it in a garage in Stockton. Overall the car has been very well taken care of, and is in fine "driver" shape. It was easily revived and put back on the road after I bought it. I plan on keeping it original and as-is externally, making a few mechanical improvements, and driving it on weekends, CA rallies, tours, etc. Still original red, used for touring; Interests: events, touring, technical, restoration, show, rallies, autocross, racing
