Gathered lots of experience during the process, & able to provide info to anyone in need, from the country of origin... Original exterior color #:  (burgundy red); 5speed, rebuilt engine with original Solexes & loads of new Porsche parts, professionally repainted in original colour, interior original & fine, except driver's seat cushion newly upholstered with original covering fabric & vdo clock not running with original US dead spider sitting under glass, original ITT radio, overall good everyday driving condition.

Have a power door lock & window kit I received that may find its way into this project if it does not compromise the stock look too much; engine now has 40 IDF Webers w/ K&N filters & velocity stacks; big bore kit that will also be added; fuel pump rebuilt plus all new fuel lines & a fuel filter added; engine shrouding & oil filter canister all repainted w/ all the proper color & decals replaced. A 911 oil temperature & pressure gauge has replaced stock 912 gauge & idiot light; have a spare set of early 911S sport seats that will also go into the car along w/ new carpeting.  I have owned a '72 911S Targa for about 12 years. I also own two '69 912 coupes. (second car VIN#2936)

We drive it on weekends, and during the week we continue to tidy it up, both cosmetically and mechanically. It remains very original, though it's been lowered, has a non-stock radio mirrors and steering wheel. With the exception of a Bursch exhaust and K&N filters, the engine is stock. Suits us just fine just the way it is. Also has 911 (skirt I believe it is called???? under front bumper). I love it & get many smiles from other 912 & 356 drivers.
