Pearl white paint, chrome trim removed and anodized black. New rubber, leather, etc., etc., etc. Engine assembly and a few minor details remain. For now, just a joy to look at. I enjoyed everyone else’s photos so much I felt I had to give back. Photographed on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. It strays from original with black anodized trim, pearl paint, 935 mirrors, and 911S wheels and vented discs are on all four corners. The alloys are coated with black epoxy and hand painted caps and, yes, it’s lowered. The 616/40 motor is mostly new old stock with only 600 miles since assembly. A Precision Matters full flow oil filter will help keep it new. Nice touches include full factory tinted glass, original seats rebuilt and recovered with leather. New Performance Products seat belts are fully retractable. The steering wheel is original and recovered with hand-stitched leather. Cocomats (black with white dots) add a touch of retro. The history (as far as I know it) is this: It's basically a three-owner car that came into my family in '87. Second owner painted it charcoal gray. We're hoping to get it back to its original red someday. At some point in it's life, it got a big-bore kit & Weber 40IDFs. We kept the big bore when we had the engine rebuilt in summer '99. Needs some cosmetic work & some minor (typical) rust repair underneath but basically it's a solid car. Daily driver from '91 to '94, & hopefully it will be again. Photo
